Words to live by.
3 Cats
Some character explorations for a comic book I hope to actually get around to do someday.
Childhood Friends
An ode to my favorite comic of all time.
Grumble Grumble
Great Athletes Through Time
Her is one of the movies I've seen recently that I enjoyed thoroughly. I feel that the "near future" that they have presented is very believable. The set and wardrobe design was beautifully done and I found it very inspiring. Inspiring enough for me to want to create something as an ode to the movie.
Her
Confetti
Still playing around with Wacom in Illustrator.
Ahead
Shit happens. Sometimes you end up in a dark place. With patience, you will find a crack in the darkness. A glimmer of light. Could it be an escape from the darkness?
Face
a lazy sunday...
Inspired by my cats, Haku & Silvia.
Pattern
Sometimes I find myself just playing around drawing shapes in my sketchbook. I thought it might be fun trying to create a grid based pattern. All tiles are 1x1 and are one of only two shapes.
Facing Off
Ra'fi
Being born as the runt of a litter is usually a death sentence for a feral cat, however Ra’fi has
somehow seemed to have benefitted from it. What Ra’fi lacks in size he more than makes up for in heart. Despite his small size, or perhaps because of it, Ra’fi became the most dominant cat from his litter. Growing up and being picked on constantly Ra’fi developed a real quick temper and a huge chip on his shoulder. Because of this, Ra’fi has been known to get himself and his friends into trouble. Despite his rough exterior, Ra’fi is a loyal and caring friend. Just don’t call him small, you will find yourself in a lot of trouble.
Where is he now?
This dude is old...I mean REAL old. I think I originally sketched this guy when I was in college. So that's about 10 years ago...Wonder what he's up to now?
Lost Alien
This little guy just showed up in my sketchbook. Not sure why or how...he must be lost!
Sorry Boss
Woke up this morning not feeling well and had to call in sick. This is what I imagine my boss looked like when he read my "out of office" email. I'm now out of "flex days." Sorry boss.
My Childhood
Growing up, I had a pretty wild imagination. As kids, my brother and I had superman and batman pajama sets and would run around playing out ridiculous scenarios that only children can come up with. I've always been a huge Batman fan and I guess that's why I drew this kid with a Batman suit on. I consider it my most accurate self-portrait to date :)
Broadcast
An exercise for creating icons. I used a random word generator, which returned the word "broadcast." This is the icon I created :)
Lumberjack
This is from a sketch in my notebook. When I was done, he really reminded me of a lumberjack. I think it was the cap and big beard. Would have loved to add a little more flavor...maybe with an outdoorsy scene behind him...and an axe or saw? Maybe someday!
